Description of the specialty
The educational and professional program “History and Archaeology” has successfully passed the accreditation of the National Academy of Higher Education and Science of Ukraine and has been implemented (Licensed and accredited in accordance with the decision of the National Academy of Higher Education of Ukraine dated June 12, 2025). The educational and professional program was created by a working group taking into account the State Standard, regional educational orientation, and is based on the provisions and results of modern scientific research in the field of historical sciences, taking into account innovative activities, within the framework of which further professional and scientific careers are possible.
Learning objectives: training specialists who are able to solve complex theoretical tasks and solve practical problems in the field of history and archaeology, as well as in educational institutions.
The educational and professional program “History and Archaeology” was developed by the project groups of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University after consultations with scientists, potential employers, who confirmed the need for training specialists in this area.
The content of the educational process of the specialty “History and Archaeology” is the implementation of fundamental and special training for professional practical activity. As a result of this training, a specialist in the specialty “History and Archaeology” has the opportunity to combine educational, scientific and practical training, perfectly master modern means and methods of practical activity in the specialty, be able to independently and competently solve a set of tasks in accordance with his functional responsibilities, carry out continuous training, be able to constantly increase his knowledge in the field of the chosen specialty, be able to be guided in practice by the principles of scientific organization of labor. Thus, graduates of the department increase their chances of successful employment, both in educational institutions and museums, archival institutions, and government and management bodies.
